Northamptonshire Record Society is an educational charity which promotes interest in and knowledge about the history of the ancient county of Northamptonshire.

We publish books and journals, operate a library and arrange talks, workshops and other events. The Society is administered in accordance with its Rules and Policies and guidance from the Charity Commission.

The Society’s library and office is in the same building as Northamptonshire Archives, at Wootton Hall Park.

Northamptonshire Past and Present is the journal of the Society. Members receive a printed copy. Many back issues are available online.

Signposts gives fascinating glimpses into our local history with over 2800 links to resources, the vast majority of which are accessible free of charge.

A Council of trustees, elected by the membership, manages the Society. The Charity Commission publishes administrative details including our latest annual report and accounts.
