Membership is open to all who support our aims of promoting interest in and knowledge about the history of Northamptonshire.
In recent times, our programme of publishing books and journals has been extended to include running workshops, developing this website and using social media. By joining, you will help take our mission even further forward.
Members receive:
- The Northamptonshire Record Society’s Journal, Northamptonshire Past and Present, published annually
- A freshly-published book, approximately one per year
- Four newsletters a year, by email
- Invitations to lectures - we usually hold two per year, at a variety of places in Northamptonshire
- Borrowing rights from the Society’s library
New members will receive the current issue of Northamptonshire Past and Present and may choose any published volume still in print.
Two family members are each entitled to free entrance to lectures but receive only one copy of Northamptonshire Past and Present and one volume of published works.
Youth members receive Northamptonshire Past and Present and can visit and borrow books from the library.
Institutional members are entitled to send four people to lectures. They also receive one copy of Northamptonshire Past and Present and one volume of published works.
Annual Subscriptions
Subscriptions are due on the 1st January each year. The Northamptonshire Record Society accepts payment by Direct Debit. You can click on one of the following buttons to set it up and become a member now. Please choose Gift Aid if possible (the Gift Aid Declaration is shown below):

If you are eligible to offer Gift Aid please confirm the following declaration: I wish Northampton Record Society to treat all subscriptions I make to the society from the date of this declaration until I notify you otherwise as Gift Aid donations, enabling it to reclaim tax paid on these payments. I will advise the society if at any time I cease to meet the conditions set out in the note below.
About Gift Aid
Donating through Gift Aid means charities and community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra. You can include all donations from the last 4 years. Tell the charity about any tax years where you did not pay enough tax. Your donations will qualify as long as they’re not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April).
