Saturday 16 May 2026, starting at 2:30pm
Horton House Cricket Club, Denton Road, Horton, NN7 2BE is the venue for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a memorable lecture by local historian Steve Holder which will be on the subject ‘Northampton's Edward I Rental: a new analysis of topography, organisation and administration in a medieval borough’.
Aspects covered will include how the borough developed after the Norman Conquest, the practicalities of collecting taxes, the location of the All Saints international fair and expansion of key marketing areas.
This event is a great opportunity to meet like-minded enthusiasts. All are welcome to attend, whether or not signed up as members of the Society (£5 for non-members, payable on the day). There will be light refreshments.
