Rushton Church
All Saints church, Rushton

Rushton, a village situated a few miles from Kettering, Desborough and Rothwell, has a very well-documented history. Its oldest parish register is one of the earliest surviving in the county and, along with nine later volumes for the parish, was precisely transcribed and printed in 1929.

The book includes a detailed introduction and separate indexes of the people and the places recorded. It is therefore useful for readers pursuing local or family history as well as those just curious about when their family name emerged in the area.

Copies of the printed version are few and far between, so the Record Society has digitised a copy which everyone interested can download free of charge (PDF).
